The Chefs

Edomae Kiyomi is owned by chefs Kevin Saito and Katsumi Namaizawa who have known each other for years and partnered to create it in 2019.

Chef Kevin Saito

Chef Saito has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He partnered with Chef Katsumi to bring the first omakase tempura experience to Toronto.

Chef Katsumi Namaizawa

Chef Katsumi has over a decade of experience.  He trained under Ken Kawasumi of Shinjuku Tokyo and worked under Yasuhisa Ouchi in Toronto. Katsumi grew up just outside of Tokyo and was fascinated by the fish markets in Tokyo and Omiya.  Katsumi is a perfectionist about everything he does.  He brings the same discipline and passion to the culinary world that he drew upon to become a Japan national badminton champion in his youth.
